Ishinomaki City has been promoting “urban development utilizing manga” and built the Ishinomori Manga Museum in 2001 as its core facility, with character monuments along the “Ishinomaki Manga Road” from JR Ishinomaki Station to the museum to entertain visitors. Also, check out the JR Sengoku Tohoku Line “Mangattan Liner,” a newly introduced wrapped train. As for sightseeing spots, “Tashiro Island” famous for its cat island and “Hiyoriyama Park” famous for its cherry blossoms are also recommended.

From Ishinomaki City, we are introducing local tourism information, the Ishinomaki Regional Revitalization RPG, and initiatives featuring the VTuber “Tabimachi Meguru.” In addition, one of Japan’s largest manga museums, the Ishinomori Manga Museum, will make a special appearance! On Saturday, November 8, the local hero “Sea Jetter Kaito” will also be joining us! Be sure to stop by the Ishinomaki City booth!
Ishinomori Manga-kan
Manga Museum of Shotaro Ishinomori, a manga artist from Miyagi Prefecture. Visitors can enjoy exhibits of Ishinomori’s works such as “Cyborg 009” and “Masked Rider”. There are exhibits of rare original drawings, a Masked Rider attraction, and a video hall where visitors can enjoy completely original works that can only be seen here.
